The Vista Trail

The Vista Trail can be accessed at the top of the gondola and is a short loop with gorgeous views of town. It begins as a wide gravel road and becomes narrow singletrack about half way around the loop. Along the way, you can enjoy a nice lunch at the Oasis Sundeck or another great option is to pack a picnic and stop where you please. Enjoy the beautiful nature of Steamboat Springs with your entire family!

The heart of The Tread of Pioneers Museum is a 1901 Queen Anne-style Victorian home with turn-of-the-century furnishings. The newly expanded and renovated museum offers exhibits, tours, events and activities for kids. The Museum is a considered must do for visitors and locals alike. Yampa River Botanic Park

The Yampa River Botanic Park has grown from a flat, horse pasture into a six acre gem of over 50 gardens with ponds, benches and sculptures. No public funds are directed to the Park meaning that the park is free to the public! Each garden is in a unique setting with its own slope, sun exposure, soil chemistry, trees and shrubs which determine what will grow. Every garden has a different focus allowing everyone to find something which will complement their home garden. The Park is open to the public May to October and it serves as a “place of serenity”, as a venue for a summer music festival and theater festival, as a site for weddings and similar events, and a resource for individuals.
